Note: these are the old rules for the STAP budget that has been cancelled. For other options for funding every organisation has it own rules. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
-You have a legal right to work in the Netherlands
-You have not already followed a training with the STAP budget during the year within which you are making your application.
-You are 18 years or older.
-You are not receiving a Dutch state pension.
-You have lived, worked or received benefits in the Netherlands for at least six months in the past 24 months. The period of six months is counted from three months before the month in which you request the STAP budget.
It's also important to be aware that in order to apply for the STAP Budget you will need to login to the official website using a Dutch Digital Identity, which is known as DigiD. You can find out more about DigiD at the official website here.
